TEDx Skoll Conversations: Focus on wellbeing
Our most prominent global issues — climate change, wars, pandemic, inflation — take both a physical and mental toll on us. In challenging times, it's essential to prioritize our own wellbeing in order to build a better world.
Over the past year, TEDx proudly partnered with Skoll Foundation and The Wellbeing Project to surface and spotlight new ideas from TEDxSãoPaulo, TEDxAtlanta, and the global TEDx community that explore how we can nurture wellbeing in our communities and in ourselves.

TEDx conversations on wellbeing
TEDx Skoll Conversations set out to approach the topic of wellbeing holistically; that’s why it was critical to support a range of conversations about wellbeing in different formats and geographies. Take a glimpse at events TEDx and Skoll partnered on.
TEDxAtlantaWomen speaker Chanel H. Frazier and TEDx organizer Jacqui Chew share a joyful moment following Chanel’s talk, which focused on nurturing the voice and inner artist in every young girl.
In his talk “Throw guilt to the wind,” physician and monk Barry Kerzin explains that there’s no word for guilt in the Tibetan language, and shares how we might do away with the concept altogether. In that spirit, Barry and TEDxSãoPaulo staffers take a mindful walk to unwind after a morning of filming TEDx talks on wellbeing at the 2022 Wellbeing Summit for Social Change.
How might we build wellbeing into our everyday lives? Elena Crescia (Curator, TEDxSãoPaulo) and Aaron Pereira (Co-Lead, The Wellbeing Project) engaged human rights champion, Mallika Dutt and peace activist, Reggie Hubbard, in a conversation on practical tips for nurturing a wellbeing practice. This discovery workshop, Inner wellbeing for social welldoing, was hosted as a part of TEDWomen Presents.
