Allan Savory 嘅開場白係咁樣講︰「『荒漠化』係一個美化咗嘅詞語，用嚟描述正喺度變成沙漠嘅土地。」最得人驚嘅係，世界上大約三分二嘅草原正喺度沙漠化，以至氣候變化加速，放牧社會陷入混亂狀態。Allan Savory 奉獻一生去制止荒漠化。佢嘅工作證明咗，一個做法就能夠保護草原，甚至復原荒漠化嘅土地。
