Klaipeda Puppet Theatre
Klaipeda Puppet Theatre is one of the youngest up-and-coming puppet theatres in Lithuania, constantly in search of new means of theatrical expression in the language of puppetry. It is a contemporary, refined, representative theatre that is interesting for both children and the adult viewers.
Public institution Klaipeda Puppet Theatre is the only professional, repertoire puppet theatre in Western Lithuania which carries out its activities in the framework of the annual programme and the strategic Klaipeda Puppet Theatre plan.
Theatre experts name Klaipeda Puppet Theatre as one of the strongest, most ambitious puppet theaters in our country. By performing regularly for children, organising various educational projects, our theatre fills an important niche in Klaipeda – it brings theatre to the young, as well as adult, audiences.

An artist Linas Kutavičius by using experimental materials designs and builds functional light objects for interior and exterior spaces. Since 1997 L. Kutavičius takes part in exhibitions and different cultural events. He has been collaborating with other artists in a number of informal intercultural projects, and has designed the visual environment of various music festivals and other events.

Sergej OLENIN is a leading researcher at the Marine Science and Technology Center and a professor in Biological Oceanography at Klaipeda University (Lithuania), specializes in marine ecology and aquatic invasion biology. He participated in research cruises in the Baltic and North Seas, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans; conducted SCUBA diving and underwater video research expeditions in the Black Sea, White Sea and Svalbard. Recently he chaired the Joint Research Center / International Council for the Exploration of the Sea Task Group “Non-indigenous species” developing Good Environmental Status Descriptor for the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive.
