In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Hi, I am Sangeetha Param, 30 years old from Bangalore. I am a motivational speaker and I speak on Mental Health as a Survivor. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder and I speak my story of survival with a mental illness. I have authored 2 books, Key to Acceptance and Echoes in my Attic. I've delivered 4 TEDx talks and represented India in 6 international conferences. Through this opportunity I want to share my story in a bigger platform to normalise "Not being Okay" and the importance of seeking help without fear of judgment. I use my story of self harm addiction. Sexual assault and fear of living one's life, to empathise and bring in normalcy in trying to eradicate the stigma on the same.
