My name is Andrew McConnell, and I am the Founder and CEO of Alively.com, as well as the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of Get Out of My Head: Creating Modern Clarity with Stoic Wisdom. I host the “Home of Healthspan” podcast and am a TEDx speaker with over 1 million views on YouTube. Before my current endeavors, I founded and led Rented.com, VacationFutures, Inc., and Rented Capital, LLC. I’ve also worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and as Director of Solutions Design at Axiom Global, Inc.
In addition to my professional roles, I was an international medalist as a member of the US National Team in Open Water Swimming. I earned my A.B. in History from Harvard University, my J.D. from Harvard Law School, and my LL.M. from the University of Cambridge, Trinity Hall.
I was born in Birmingham, AL, while my parents were in medical school at UAB.

My name is Blessing Falola. I am an Associate Professor and Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program in the Department of Psychiatry UAB. I am originally from Nigeria but have lived in Birmingham for about 16 years, so Birmingham is home now. The goal for my TED Talk is to increase awareness of the impact of workforce shortage on the youth mental health crisis and share opportunities to increase workforce to ultimately improve the mental health of youths in the community and across the country.
