In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Rida Rashid is a 21-year-old Pakistani climate justice/rights activist & storyteller. She is the founder of Survivors Narrative, a youth-led platform that tells the stories of those who bear the brunt of the climate crisis. She also leads IMPACT Pakistan, a non-profit working to rehabilitate disaster-affected communities. Rida’s work has been profiled by major media outlets such as Bloomberg, BBC, Business Insider, Tribune, DAWN, and others. She has spoken at prestigious platforms worldwide, including TED, the United Nations, the Conference of Parties, and esteemed institutions like the University of Pennsylvania, Oxford, Cambridge, and IIT.
