Christine Blume is a sleep scientist at the Centre for Chronobiology, University of Basel, with a background in psychology. Her research explores how modern factors like artificial light, daylight exposure and physical activity affect sleep, circadian rhythms and mental health. She also delivers cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) at the university’s psychiatric hospital. Blume cohosts the podcast Über Schlafen (About Sleep), where she shares insights into the fascinating world of sleep science.
